Noah Spencer from The Voice Season 24

Noah Spencer from The Voice Season 24

His audition: Noah Spencer, 20, Richlands, Va.: performed “Something in Orange” by Zach Bryan. He showed off a nice gritty voice. It took a few lines, but Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire couldn’t resist the rasp in Noah’s voice. Nor could Niall Horan. He called it “such a good performance.” And said he loved the grit and gravel in his voice. Gwen said American loves his kind of voice. Noah opted to joined Team Niall.

Here’s more about Noah.

* He’s a young artist from the small town of Richlands in Tazewell County, Va., who says he’s “just trying to make a little change and give the folks a smile.”

* On his website, Noah says his shows — and he apparently has lots of those — feature a wide range of music from country to rock, American, pop and gospel.

* He started singing in church when he was 5, picked up his first guitar at age 11 and also plays drums, piano and the ukulele.

* Noah was 16 when he won a Lyrics on the Lake open mic competition in 2019, which would make him about 20 now.

* He appears to have released one song to streaming sites, a lovely acoustic ballad called “Never Mine” from 2021.

* On his website, Noah says his musical influences include John Mayer, Glenn Campbell, Tyler Childers, Jim Croce, Chris Stapleton, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton and Toto, among others.

* He also says he’s attending community college in southwest Virginia and hopes to pursue a career in music.

* If you like what you hear from Noah on The Voice, he has a busy show schedule this fall that you can check out here.

* And don’t draw any conclusions about his Voice fate from those dates. Everything through the playoffs on the show is pre-recorded.

* Meanwhile, check out Noah’s unique sound on a cover of “Feeling Whitney” by Post Malone below.
