New post-Voice music out this week includes a trio of country singles.

Those come from Morgan Wallen, Casi Joy and Jared Blake.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.

Stream, stream, stream these songs folks. Like other artists, the singers we met on The Voice need support from their fans now more than ever.

* Morgan Wallen from Season 6 dropped ‘More Than My Hometown” on Friday. Written with Michael Hardy, Ernest Keith Smith and Ryan Vojtesak, the song finds Morgan about to part ways with a lady love because she has big-city dreams and he can’t love her “more than my hometown.” Top 20 on The Voice, Morgan has become the most successful of the show’s many country favorites since, scoring a pair of number one hits. And his current single “Chasin’ You” has cracked the Top 5 on Billboard’s country airplay chart. “More Than My Hometown” will appear on his second album, due for release later this year.

* Casi Joy from Season 12 released “Poor Angel” on Friday. She co-wrote the single with two Nashville buddies and said the intent was a hokey, fun, beer-drinking song about the poor guardian angel on your shoulder and all you put him through. But Casi says she was in a darker mood that day, and the song took a turn that makes it more applicable to what everyone is going through right now. The message: No matter how dark things get, everyone has a guardian angel, or something, that will help pull them through. That, she said in a Facebook chat with fans, was what made it “an important song to put out right now.”

* Jared Blake from Season 1 released “The Prize” on Friday. It’s a song about a woman who’s perceived that way by her man. Verified. “#Coronavirus may keep our music off the road, but it’s not gonna keep it out of your head.,” Jared writes in releasing his second single of 2020. He dropped a song called “Truly” back in February.
