With the holiday shopping season upon us, two oldies but goodies have reappeared on Billboard’s Hot 200 album chart.

The debut albums from Carrie Underwood and Daughtry, released in 2005 and 2006, respectively, reappeared on the chart this week.

Meanwhile, the latest single from the original Idol continues to climb and the new album from the most controversial Idol finalist lands at number three on the album chart.

Here’s the complete rundown of Idols on the music charts this week.

Kris Allen: The debut album from Idol’s season eight winner plummets from number 11 to number 35 on the Billboard 200. The lead single, “Live Like We’re Dying” didn’t give up quite as much ground, dipping from 41 to 47 on the Hot 100 singles chart.

David Archuleta: David’s got one of the best-selling Christmas albums this holiday season. After peaking at number two, it slips from eight to 10 this week on Billboard’s holiday albums chart. It’s number 52 on the Billboard 200, down from 44 a week ago.

It has now climbed all the way to 14 on the Hot 100, moving up two more notches this week. The song is number six among pop singles, number 15 on the adult contemporary chart and number one on the adult pop chart for the second straight week. Kelly’s album, released back in March, jumped from 171 all the way to 121 on the Billboard 200.

Daughtry: Chris and the guys have two albums on the Billboard 200 this week. Their debut re-entered the charts at number 83. Their latest album, “Leave This Town,” jumped from 68 to 62. And the single, “No Surprise,” moved up from eight to six on the adult contemporary chart. The band might have gotten a little boost from that Thanksgiving halftime show.

Adam Lambert: The debut album from the season eight runner-up hits the charts at number three. The true test comes next week, when we see whether “For Your Entertainment” has any staying power atop the charts. The single of the same name re-enters the Hot 100 at number 61 this week.

Mandisa: “He Is With You,” single number two from the now Grammy-nominated album “Freedom,” checks in at number 24 on the Christian singles chart, two spots below where it landed last week.

Kellie Pickler: “Didn’t Know How Much I Loved You” made one of the biggest gains on the country singles chart this week, moving up from 27 to 25. The album was also a Billboard sales gain leader, though it actually dropped two spots, from 33 to 35 on the country album chart.

Jordin Sparks: A week ago, Jordin was atop the dance / club play singles chart. This week, “S.O.S. (Let the Music Play)” crashes to number 13. The new top dance club hit: “Perfect” from Depeche Mode.

Carrie Underwood: After three weeks atop the country album chart with “Play On,” Carrie gets bumped out of the top spot by … well, who else? … Taylor Swift. Carrie’s album holds steady at number nine on the Billboard 200. The “Cowboy Casanova” single slips from three to four on the country singles chart, from 23 to 28 among the Hot 100. Meanwhile, “Some Hearts” from 2007 shows back up on the Billboard 200 at number 132.
