We barely met Megan Lee on The Voice, but she’s got a new single out and is planning an EP.

Former Voice contestant Megan Lee released a new single Friday, and she’s just one of several past contestants with new music out.

Megan, 22 when she auditioned, was a curious case on Season 14 of The Voice.

A veteran of Nickelodeon’s “Make It Pop” show, she showed up on The Voice stage with 150,000 followers on Instagram and nearly 50,000 on Twitter.

But fans never got to see her sing on the show. The Voice montaged both her blind audition and her battle round performances.

She’s since released a number of singles with musician/producer Kurt Hugo Schneider, but her latest single is a solo effort called “Me, Myself and I.”

“This song is about my experiences with anxiety and realizing how sometimes we need to take a break from the craziness of the outside world and reflect on ourselves,” Megan writes on Instagram.

“The effects of ‘fomo’ (fear of missing out) from social media can really take a toll on our views of our own worth and value.”

She describes the new song as “a pop-electronic anthem of figuring out the details in between me, myself and I. and sometimes we just want to simply kick back and chill.” You can check out the “Me, Myself and I” music video here.

Other new post-Voice releases …

* Whitney Myer from Season 2 is sure to get you moving with her new single, “Click Ya Heelz.” It’s her first of 2019, but she released a series of singles in 2018 and it sounds like more might be coming. “I have at least 12 unreleased songs that I’ve been holding onto for a while now,” she writes on Instagram. “It’s a struggle to figure out which ones to release and which ones don’t quite hit the mark. Sometimes I make a song and I’m happy that a made a thing, but the song doesn’t really represent me as an artist and I feel conflicted about releasing it. I’m working on being less critical of my work and putting out some of my favorites in the next few months.” More like “Click Ya Heelz,” please!

* Nelly’s Echo from Season 3 continued his string of 2019 singles with “Take My Breath Away.” The song hasn’t hit Apple Music yet, but is already on all other streaming sights. The timing of the song isn’t hard to figure out. Baltimore-based Nelson Emokpae got married in late April. You can check out wedding photos on his Instagram and lots of upcoming show dates on his website.

* Michaela Paige from Season 3 has joined the ranks of former singing show stars whose vocals have enlivened videos by Scott Bradlee’s Post Modern Jukebox. Their take on “Everybody Talks” by the Neon Trees came out Friday and has already been viewed more than 130,000 times on YouTube. “I’ll never forget walking into PMJ manor for the first time,” Michael writes on Facebook. “I’ll never forget this moment.”

* Austin Jenckes, a Top 10 finisher on Season 5, released “Never Forget” on Friday. It’s the fourth track dropped from his upcoming “If You Grew Up Like I Did” album. That’s due out May 31. Find out more about the song and watch the music video here.

* Jubal Lee Young from Season 9 has released a cover of “Midnight Rider” by the Allman Brothers. You’ll remember Jubal as the first contestant to make a marriage proposal on The Voice stage. On the other side of that proposal was his Jubal and Amanda duet partner, Amanda Preslar.
