On Instagram, Genesis Diaz announced “Surprise! I’m back for Round 2!”

She means back on The Voice, this time on Telemundo’s brand new Spanish-speaking version of the singing show.

Telemundo premiered La Voz on Sunday, and Genesis was one of seven contestants to land spots on the show.

The 20-year-old from Hialeah, Fla., clearly impressed, turning three chairs with her cover of James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s World.”

She became the first contestant to join Team Alejandra Guzmán. Guzmán is a Mexican singer-songwriter, actress, and musician who has sold more than 30 million albums in her career.

Luis Fonsi, Carlos Vives and Wisin are the other coaches on La Voz. Blind auditions continue Sunday at 9 p.m.

Genesis is the only former The Voice contestant to show up so far.

A year ago, Genesis competed on Season 14, making it to the battle round before being eliminated in a match with eventual Top 20 contestant Mia Boostrom.

You can follow Genesis on Instagram or Facebook. On Twitter, she’s @genesisxmusic.
