When Adam Levine gave Rayshun LaMarr “Grant Green” to sing on Top 10 night, The Voice coach said he envisioned a Top 4 song on iTunes.

Well, there was a “4” involved in where the song landed when voting ended Tuesday.

Unfortunately, the “4” was followed by the highest number possible. And it was the middle number, with a “1” in front.

No other singer from the Top 10 had a middle number in their iTunes ranking today.

That makes Rayshun, who landed a full 79 spots behind anyone else on the charts, an almost sure bet to land in the bottom three when results come in on The Voice tonight.

And it could wind up being a rough night for Team Adam, which lost Sharane Calister last week.

The singer closest to Rayshun on the iTunes charts is Adam’s young country singer Jackie Verna, who’s cover of “Love Triangle” did well on the charts, but also trailed the other three country songs performance Monday night.

And since results have closely mirrored iTunes results in Season 14, Jackie Foster is bound to enter tonight’s results show a bit nervous about her chart performance.

Her cover of “Gravity” was widely praised, but it was also a dramatic departure from the rock performance she had been delivering. She landed eighth among the Top 10 on the iTunes charts, with 30 spots separating her from Kaleb Lee, who was seventh.

Meanwhile, Christiana Danielle, who needed an instant save to make it to the Top 10, bounced back nicely. Her cover of “Ain’t No Sunshine” wound up cracking the Top 20 on the charts. That might be enough to keep her out of danger tonight.

Remember, two singers go home tonight to set the stage for next week’s Top 8 semifinals. And, yep, there will be an instant save at the end of the evening.

Check back at 8 p.m. for a live results blog. Be forewarned, I will not give one iota of cover to the guest performances by Charlie Puth or 5 Seconds of Summer.

They SHOULD NOT be on The Voice. Those guest spots should go to past contestants with new music out.

Advancing to the semifinals …

And Carson just announced that Brynn was the most streamed artist for at least the second straight week.

Here come the silly questions from Carson to nervous contestants.

* Kyla Jade (Team Blake) — She did give a fine performance last night.
* Britton Buchanan (Team Alicia) — He’s been in the Top 10 on iTunes two straight weeks.
* Brynn Cartelli (Team Kelly) — Another well deserving semifinalist, especially based on what we saw last night.
* Jackie Foster (Team Alicia) — I think it’s safe to saw that was a very pleasant surprise to Jackie Foster.
* Pryor Baird (Team Blake) — He’s been in the Top 10 on iTunes the past two weeks and he’s been the iTunes leader two of the last three.
Kaleb Lee (Team Kelly) — There’s that The Voice country fan base at work again.
* Spensha Baker (Team Blake) — Spensha was very good last night and that means Team Blake Shelton still hasn’t lost a single singer.

That leaves a bottom three of Christiana Danielle, Jackie Verna and Rayshun LaMarr.

And now it’s time for the save songs.

And the instant save goes to Rayshun LaMarr.

That means Jackie Verna and Christiana Danielle head home.

Wow, given her last two performances, Christiana earned a spot in the Top 8.
