I’m pretty sure I can’t substantiate this.

But I’m also pretty sure Reid Umstattd has set some sort of record on The Voice.

Reid’s performance was pretty much montaged Monday night.

Okay, we got to hear a longer snippet of his performance than normal for a montage, but when your knockout round match is summed up in one minute and 15 seconds … on a show that normally spends about 20 minutes of airtime (including commercials) per pairing … well, that still qualifies.

Montaged performances typically do not do well on iTunes.

Except in Reid’s case. By midnight, his cover of “Let Him Fly” was already number eight on the iTunes rock chart.

By noon Tuesday, it had climbed to number 2. And was sitting at number 125 on the overall iTunes chart — the best performance for any song from Monday’s show.

That said, every song available from Monday’s show — all 11 — cracked the Top 200 on an iTunes genre chart.

And Kelsea Johnson also has great reason to celebrate. Her cover of “Rise Up” cracked the Top 10 on the iTunes R&B / Soul singles chart. And it was close behind Reid on the overall singles chart.

The other singer to crack that chart was Britton Buchanan with his superb cover of “New York State of Mind.”

Here’s where all the songs stood as of noon, which is when voting typically ends following a live episode of The Voice.
