Team Chance as The Voice battles begin

0

Talk about an embarrassment of riches. Eight singers turn four chairs in Season 25. Four landed on Team Chance.

So it’s not surprising that Team Chance has more total chair turns among its 10 artists than any other team on The Voice.

Those four-chair turn artists include Serenity Arce, Dani Stacy, Maddi Jane and Val T. Webb.

I’m most intrigued by Serenity, who’s just 16 (remember, Chance, Voice voters rally behind young artists). And by Maddi Jane, the former child singing sensation who’s still just in her mid 20s and turned in one of the most self-assured blind auditions we saw.

As for Dani Stacy, she was the very first artist we met in Season 25, showed off a signature tone and should be another favorite to make the playoffs.

Matches we’ll see on the opening night of the blinds include Karen Waldrup vs. Ryan Argast from Team Dan + Shay, Asher HaVon vs. Alyssa Crosby and Tae Lewis vs. L. Rodgers from Team Reba, OK3 vs. someone on Team Legend and the already leaked Team Legend battle between Bryan Olesen and Nathan Chester.

Twenty contestants will be in danger of elimination during the battles. But four will be stolen and another four will receive a playoff pass, meaning 12 contestants will be ousted this round.

With 10 members per team and the playoff pass, The Voice seems to be following its Season 23 format. If that’s the case, five singers per team will advance to the playoffs.

One significant change: three will advance to the live shows compared to two in Season 23. Those singers will be hand picked by their coach.

Here are the members of Team Chance. Ages are the age the singer was when he or she auditioned last summer.

I’ve updated many of those in individual profiles that you can find by clicking the link attached to the name of each contestant. Head there and you’ll also get information about already-released music.
