For all the success country singers have had on The Voice, Season 14 seemed a bit shy on seasoned country performers.

Hannah Kay might help fix that in Season 15.

Not that she’s all that seasoned. In fact, she’s still just a teenager. But that hasn’t kept her from some lofty accomplishments to date.

Hannah is one of the singers who announced that they auditioned for Season 15. The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, Sept. 24.

Here’s more about Hannah.

* Last last year, she received Female Artist of the Year honors from the Country Music Association of Texas. The Male Artist of the Year was former Voice contestant Josh Halverson.

* She also released her debut EP in 2017, the five-song “Magnolia to Nashville.” As for that title, Hannah hails from Magnolia, Texas.

* Her lead single from the EP was the incredibly catchy pop-country tune “I Hate Boys.” Check out the music video below. Her followup single, the ballad “I’m Gonna (Darien’s Song)” has been doing well on the Texas country radio charts.

* In a Houston Chronicle interview about her debut EP, Hannah said she grew singing Hannah Montana songs and then-current pop hits before discovering country music.

* According to her website bio, Hannah wrote her first song at age 8 and was in a recording studio by age 10. She’s since been traveling back and forth to Nashville to work with songwriters there.

* She was 17 when the EP came out and attended Magnolia High School before switching to home schooling so she could devote more time to music.

* Over the years, she’s opened for Tracy Byrd, Shenandoah, Rick Trevino, the Scooter Brown Band and many others. On Facebook, she lists her influences as: Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, George Jones and Elvis Presley

* Hannah has a goal of making it to the Grand Ole Opry to perform, and not just for herself, she told the Chronicle. You see, her late grandfather was a struggling musician who received rejection letter after rejection letter. He finally got an invite to perform at the Opry, shortly after being paralyzed by a drunk driver, which means he never got to go. “My main goal is to get to the Grand Ole Opry and sing at that little circle for him and for me,” she told the newspaper.
