Olivia Faye from American Idol Season 20

Idol returns to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 27. Here’s more about Olivia.

* Her full name is Olivia Faye Floyd and she’s a 25-year-old country / pop singer-songwriter from Murray, Kentucky.

* At age 12, she began performing in a Stars of Tomorrow show at the Kentucky Opry. At age 14, she won the junior division of the Kentucky Opry Talent Search at that venue.

* Olivia moved to Nashville to pursue music at age 19.

* On her website, she describes her music as being influenced by “the early icons of country music, blues and classic rock.”

* She released a single in 2018 called “Nothings New” and followed up with three more in 2021 — “Out of My System,” “Save My Number” and “The Chase.” “Out of My System” is her most popular song to date, with nearly 150,000 streams on Spotify.

* “The Chase,” her latest single, came out in April. Olivia co-wrote it with Jesse Labelle. “It was written as a cute perspective of not taking dating too seriously,” she told American Songwriter. “It’s about being young and not ready to be tied down.” Check it out below.

* Among the artists Olivia has opened for are Paul Thorn, Mark Chesnutt and Alabama, according to her website.
