Emyrson Flora from American Idol Season 20
Idol returns to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 27. Here’s more about Emyrson.
* She’s a high school student who announced that she auditioned for the show back in December.
* You won’t find much music on her Instagram page. So head to TikTok, where she has more than 10,000 followers, to hear her sing. She has two originals posted there.
* And while Emryson — she goes by Em — doesn’t have a YouTube channel, someone in her family posted a video of her singing one of her “original songs” 11 years ago and another of her covering the Jackson5 10 years ago. Suffice to say, she started young and appears to have taken her first voice lesson around age 9.
* That same YouTube channel includes a video of Emyrson playing an original song called “Once More.” You can check it out below.
* Writes Emryson of Idol: “So excited and thankful for this opportunity.” According to spoiler sites, she advances all the way to the Top 24.
