One of the singers announcing they’ve auditioned for the show is Cyniah Elise.
Here’s more about Cyniah.
* She describes herself as a singer and actress on social media, is from the Atlanta area and will turn 18 later this month.
* She performed her first solo at age 2 at Cornerstone Baptist Church where her mother, Cynthia, was choir director.
* She also began taking piano lesson around age 3 and continued to perform in church throughout her youth.
* At one point, she performed with three other teen girls in at Alanta-based R&B / soul and indie pop group called Sweet Tea.
* At the time, she was using her full name, Cyniah Elise Chambers, or the stage name ISIS.
* There’s video on YouTube of her winning performance at the First Lady’s Forum in Atlanta from December, 2017.
* While all of her YouTube videos are nearly a year old, you can find more recent covers on Instagram, including Cyniah’s rousing renditions of “When We Were Young” and “Almost is Never Enough.”
* She’s also promised fans an upcoming EP, most recently last June, but it hasn’t landed yet.
* She attends Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts and told a local TV station that two of her musical idols are Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson.
* As for her musical aspirations, she writes: “I aspire to change the world with my love for music, my words, and most importantly my voice!”
