The battle round begins Monday night on The Voice.

And, based on chair turns, John Legend appears to have formed the strongest team in Season 18.

Seven singers turned four chairs during the blind auditions. Four — Mandi Castillo, Mike Jerel, Nelson Cade III and Thunderstorm Artis — decided to join Team Legend.

And let’s not forget, Team Legend also includes Cedrice, the last artist to make Season 18 and one who might very well have turned four chairs if she hadn’t performed so late.

Blake Shelton has a pair four-chair turns entering the battles in Toneisha Harris and Todd Tilghman. Nick Jonas has one, Joanna Serenko.

The only coach who didn’t land a four-chair turn during the blinds was Kelly Clarkson. But let’s not forget, she has a team stacked with talented ladies and has coached a singer into the winner’s circle in three of the past four seasons.

And she did it in December with Jake Hoot, a one-chair turn during the blinds. He proved once again that blind audition chair turns don’t mean everything on The Voice.

Here’s a look at where the teams stand entering the battles. The number in parenthesis indicates the number of chair turns; total chair turns for each team are indicated next to each coaches’ name.
