While Carrie Underwood was celebrating the success of her new single and the release of her new video, she was also helping a good cause this weekend.

On Friday, Carrie played a pair of shows at the Grand Ole Opry to support the fight against breast cancer. And the Opry’s signature barn backdrop took on a pink hue for the event.

No word yet on how much the event raised, but $5 per ticket was to go to Women Rock for the Cure and the Greater Nashville affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

As for the song, wow. “Cowboy Casanova” bolted from number 96 to number 11 on Billboard’s Hot 100 last Thursday.

And the video for the song was released on CMT this weekend. It’s now available on iTunes and you can check it out here. I counted five costume changes for Carrie in the four minutes.

Oh, and don’t forget, less than a month from now we’ll be treated to her new album. “Play On” is due to hit stores Nov. 3.
