Nini Iris from The Voice Season 24

The Voice has leaked the audition of Nini Iris.

And you might say it went pretty well.

Covering “I See Red” by Everybody Loves an Outlaw, Nini immediately impressed with her unique vocal delivery.

Impressed so completely that all four Voice coaches turned their chairs before she reached the chorus.

As usual, The Voice cuts off the leaked video before we find out who Nini selected as her coach, so fans of the show will have to watch Monday to find out.

Meanwhile, here’s more about Nini Iris.

* Nini Iris is the stage name for Nini Bregvadze, a 27-year-old from Tbilisi in the country of Georgia. She’s been living in New York for the last seven years.

* She displays incredible stage presence in her Voice audition. That’s apparently another skill she’s possessed for quite some time.

* Back in 2015, she made the Top 3 on Georgia’s version of The X Factor, displaying remarkable versatility along the way.

* She raps in one performance. She shows off impressive dance moves and choreography on a cover of “She Wolf.” And she lets her vocal prowess shine on a splendid version of “Hallelujah.”

* She moved to New York in 2016 to pursue her dreams of a singing career here.

* “It’s been a rough journey,” she tells The Vice. “I had to start getting my life togther. I had to get a place, get a job and start going towards my goal that I came here for.”

* She says she now sings full time at restaurants, bars and weddings.

* Nini’s also released a good deal of music. You can find some of it on streaming sites as Nini, including an eight-song album called “Crazy I” that dropped the same year she moved to the U.S.

* You can find two more recent singles, “Rhythm of My Heartbeat” in 2019 and “Fade Away” from last year as Nini Iris.

* “I wrote this song about 2 people’s relationship,” Nini explains of “Fade Away” on her social media. “Then the war started in Ukraine and I thought the lyrics matched this terrible event.

* “I wanted to show my support to Ukraine by making a music video about what they’re going through, but even the idea of it was too emotional and, I’m not gonna lie, I got scared of how people might have reacted. So I left it as simple but pretty as it is now.” You can check out the resulting music video below.

* Speaking of social media, Nini already has quite a following, with more than 26,000 followers on Instagram, about 16,000 on Facebook and more than 47,000 likes on her TikTok.

* Oh, and before competing on The X Factor, Nini was a contestant on Georgia’s version of The Voice in 2012. She was eliminated in the battles. Here’s betting she goes deeper into The Voice Season 24.

* In an Instagram post after her elimination in the semifinals this season, Nini said she’s looking forward to releasing covers from the show and new original music. She also asked fans o “be kind” to the finalists, all of whom she loves and is rooting for.

I thought she was amazing on the Voice last night, but I’m not sure if it’s fair that she’s already had so much exposure and that she had a chance for her shot at fame already. Isn’t the Voice’s purpose to be for discovering “new” talent?

Well, her earlier appearance was in the country of Georgia, so I’m not sure you can hold that against her here. Not when Season 21 of American Idol feature We McDonald, Megan Danielle and Marybeth Byrd in its Top 10 even though all of them had gotten tons of exposure on The Voice.

I’m glad she got enough exposure to reach the audience who deserves to enjoy her extraordinary talent. Truly happy for her.
