Voting is heating up for the eighth annual CMT Music Video awards, to be broadcast live on CMT at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 16.

Two former American Idol contestants — Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler — are still in the running for awards, and voting continues through Sunday, June 14.

Originally, eight nominees were announced in each video category. Based on earlier fan voting, that list of nominees was recently trimmed to four in every category but Video of the Year.

The final four nominees for Video of the Year will be announced at the beginning of the June 16 show.

Carrie’s “Just a Dream” is among the Video of the Year nominees. Others include “Love Story” by Taylor Swift, “You’re Gonna Miss This” by Trace Adkins, “Waitin’ on a Woman” by Brad Paisley, “Looking for a Good Time” by Lady Antebellum, “God Love Her” by Toby Keith, “Every Day” by Rascal Flatts, “All I Want to Do” by Sugarland, “Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven” by Kenny Chesney, and “All Summer Long” by Kid Rock.

Kellie’s “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful” made the cut when the final nominees were announced for Female Video of the Year. Her remaining challengers include Miranda Lambert’s “More Like Her,” Martina McBride’s “Ride” and Taylor’s “Love Story.”

Earlier this week, CMT announced that Kellie will be performing on the show. Among the list of presenters: Idol judge Randy Jackson.
