Jean KelleyJean Kelley, a Season 7 standout on The Voice, has launched a KickStarter campaign to fund her debut EP.

That campaign has a goal of $40,000 and runs through Aug. 11. As of Thursday evening, Jean had already raised nearly $20,000 of that amount.

Of course, donations come with rewards — for example, a digital copy of the EP for as little as $15, handwritten lyrics along with the EP for $100 and a chance to appear in a music video for a significantly larger contribution. Check it out here.

As for the EP itself, Jean estimates a delivery date of this October.

In her KickStarter video, Jean says she returned to Atlanta after The Voice to write songs for the EP and “teamed up with some of the sickest musicians in the city” to prepare for recording the music.

She told Starry Constellation Magazine that fans can expect “a soulful, rockin’ vibe with pop sensibility. Some songs make you want to stomp your feet and others will make you feel the feels. This EP is bold and honest and I am so excited to share it with the world.”

Jean, 29 when she auditioned, reached the Top 20 on Season 7 of The Voice and delivered some fabulous vocal performances along the way.

Her duet on “Survivor” with Sugar Joans was one of the best battle round performances that season, and her cover of Sia’s “Chandelier” was one of the best performing songs on iTunes during the knockout round last fall.

Combined, the videos of those two performances have nearly 6 million views on YouTube. Here they are, just in case you’ve forgotten.

In the meantime, you can follow Jean through her website. On Twitter, she’s @JeanKelleyMusic.
