When Joey Cook was eliminated from Season 14 of American Idol, she said her next goal was to record a “big girl” album.

By that, she meant something not quite as do-it-yourself as the pre-Idol album she recorded on her iPhone and released on bandcamp.com.

Now she’s launched a fund-raising campaign to help pay for that “big girl” album.

She’s running the campaign on indiegogo.com with a goal of raising $92,000 in about 45 days. So far, she’s raised about $3,600 in four days.

Contributors get rewards, of course. A donation of as little as $15 earns you a copy of the finished album, which Joey estimates will be complete in early 2016.

She’s also selling the dresses she wore during her Idol performances.

One of the more unique offerings: For $500, Joey will hand paint a ukulele, perform and record a song on it, then send you the instrument and the video.

“If I don’t reach my goal, it will just take a little longer, but this album WILL happen,” Joey writes on her campaign page. “Ideally, the album will be released in 2016, hopefully earlier than later.”

One of the most refreshing unique contestants featured on Idol in recent years, Joey finished seventh.

And though she didn’t make the summer tour by finishing in the Top 5, she served as the opening act at the first six Season 14 summer tour dates.

She said she’s also hoping to raise enough money through the indiegogo campaign to “hit the road and perform it live in as many of your cities as possible.”

“(Idol) has done more than I ever could have asked for,” she said the day after her elimination. “They’ve exposed me to millions of people. I used to sing on sidewalks. I learned more about music in the last two months than I have in my entire life thanks to this program. The sky is the limit at this point.”

Here’s a cute video of Joey’s indiegogo pitch.
