Matt McAndrew in Atlantic CityMatt McAndrew is calling Sunday’s show on the beach in Atlantic City, N.J., “the most fun I’ve ever had.”

Little wonder. It isn’t often a singer gets to perform in front of 50,000 people.

That’s how many fans reportedly came out to see Matt, Nick Jonas and Maroon 5 perform on the beach on Sunday.

The three acts also performed in Hershey over the weekend, but it was the beach show in New Jersey that grabbed the headlines.

Little wonder. Check out the photo here of the jam-packed beach here as folks enjoy a show from their favorites on a perfect summer day.

The concert was part of an effort to revitalize Atlantic City, once the destination for East Coast gamblers until neighboring states started approving casinos.

Sunday’s concert was expected to have an economic impact of about $24 million for the city. Wow.

Meanwhile, Matt apparently wasn’t feeling his best for Sunday’s show. He reported on Twitter that he woke up with no voice.

“I may be sick, but I’m here at the beach ready to do my best,” he reported.

Judging from the reaction on Facebook, he pulled it off.

Barbette Lovas: “Best day ever!!! Crowd absolutely loved you, Matt!”

Dineen Basile: “You were great! So glad I got to see you.”

Lisa Dugas Bloomer: “Had such a great time in AC too!! You were fabulous!”

As for Matt’s reaction: “That was the most fun I’ve ever had!” he wrote on Twitter. “Damn, AC. Thank you!!”

Oh, and he also added this: “People always ask me what he’s like. Adam and all of Maroon 5 camp are the greatest.”

Meanwhile, Matt recently told The SandPaper that there’s no timetable yet for his debut album.

Matt finished second on Season 7 of The Voice, and got to check the box tattooed on his wrist when he signed with Repbulic Records earlier this year.

Since then, he’s released one single, “Counting on Love,” back in April.
