Brooke Simpson has released her debut single.

Brooke Simpson sprang a pleasant surprise on fans early Friday morning.

She dropped her post-Voice debut single — appropriately titled “2 A.M.” — with no advance warning.

“Surprise!!!” she wrote on Facebook, adding, “I wrote this song the night I got back from my time in L.A. finishing up The Voice finale.

“I know this is different from anything you heard me do on TV … but this is me. This is my heart.”

Brooke finished third on Season 13 of The Voice.

And she sounds great on the pop ballad, which she released just in time for her homecoming concert, set for Saturday night in North Carolina.

It’ll be held at The Centre at the Halifax Community College. General admission is $25 ($30 the day of the show) and you can get more info by heading here.

More music is likely coming.

“I’ve been writing so much lately. So inspired. I can’t wait to share it all with you,” Brooke writes on Twitter.

“Normally, I’m most inspired and creative when heartbroken … but lately I’ve been so inspired although the circumstances are different ?.”

Brooke was 26 when she auditioned for the show and turned all four coaches’ chairs with her cover of Demi Lovato’s “Stone Cold.”

She grew up singing with her family’s traveling ministry, based in North Carolina, then moved to Florida with her husband, a worship leader.

Head here for a snippet of that debut single.
