Lauren Alaina, Season 10 runner-up on American Idol, will compete on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars.

When Dancing With the Stars returns to ABC on Sept. 16, singing show fans will see a familiar face.

Lauren Alaina, American Idol’s Season 10 runner-up, will take her big personality and dancing skills to the competition.

“I started dancing,” Lauren announced to fans on social media this week. “I didn’t fall. I’m so excited.”

She said she also met her pro dancing partner, rumored to be Gleb Savchenko.

Other celebrities appearing on the upcoming round of Dancing with the Stars include Ray Lewis, Sean Spicer, Christie Brinkley and another singer with a singing show background, Ally Brooke, formerly of The X Factor and the girl group Fifth Harmony.

No word yet on who she’ll be dancing with.

To accommodate her appearance on the show, Lauren has pushed back her “That Girl Was Me” tour from this fall to a January start date.

Lauren’s hardly the first Idol alum to try out her dancing shoes.

Remember, Kellie Pickler won the show’s 16th season with Derek Hough as her dancing partner.
