Alisan Porter promised new music news when she appeared on Today on Tuesday, then delivered.

In addition to performing her new single, “Change,” Alisan released the video for the song, which you can check out below.

She also announced that her first major post-Voice project, the EP “I Come in Pieces,” will be released Aug. 11.

Alisan also told Kathie Lee and Hoda that she and her collaborators wrote the music for the EP “very quickly” — in fact, in just six days according to a press release which also announces the EP.

Alisan won Season 10 of The Voice and signed with Republic Records.

But you’ll recall that she walked away from that deal and decided to release music independently for the sake of artistic integrity, something that’s happened way too often with top finishers on The Voice.

It’s there’s a downside to the new EP news, it’s that “I Come in Pieces” appears to feature just five tracks, including the two we’ve already heard — “Change” and “Deep Water,” released as a single earlier this year.

As for “Change,” Alisan posted a photo of herself and her two children from the video shoot on Tuesday.

She attached this message: “At the end of the day, this is what it’s all about. Leading by example. Showing these beautiful ones that we can all make a difference.”

Here’s the new video.
