Troy Ramey, a Top 12 finisher on Season 12 of The Voice, has a new single out.

Troy Ramey, a Season 12 standout on The Voice, has released his post-show debut single.

It’s a fine tune called “Forever Wild,” accompanied by a lyric video made up of home footage of Troy and his siblings when they were young.

You can check out the video below; here’s what Troy shares about it on Facebook.

“I made this video, with home movies that my Dad captured of us when we were kids. It was a perfect moment for me, because when I wrote this song with Duncan Pelletier, the nostalgia of being a kid was in the forefront of my mind.

“I think this video captures what the song is all about. We all remember what it’s like to be a kid, and to be Forever Wild.”

Troy, 32 when he auditioned for The Voice, turned four chairs with his blind audition rendition of “Wild World,” then opted to join Team Gwen Stefani.

He wound up making it all the way to the Top 12 before being eliminated.

An accomplished musician before the show, Troy had already released two EPs as lead singer of In Like Lions and another EP and a series of singles one he went solo.

More is on the way. Friday, he’ll drop an acoustic version of “Forever Wild.” And, on Twitter, he promised a weekly treat for fans after that.

The singer-songwriter from Sea Cliff, N.Y., also has lots of shows coming up, mostly in the northeast. You can check those out on his Facebook page as well.
