Did you lose track of who advanced and who didn’t during Hollywood Week on American Idol.
That’s easy to do because about 150 singers received golden or platinum tickets in the three audition cities and there simply isn’t enough time to showcase everyone.
According to the Idol Pad spoiler site, which typically gets everything right, the list below includes 54 of the 55 singers who advanced to the showcase round.
During the showcase round, singers get their first chance to perform for the judges in front of a audience (other than fellow contestants) and with a backing band.
Idol will air showcase round performances on Sunday and Monday, interspersed with final judgment footage where the singers learn whether or not they’ve been selected to advance.
The Top 26 — Idol Pad has 14 ladies and 12 guys advancing from showstoppers — will then compete at Disney’s Aulani Resort in hopes of making the Top 20. The Disney round performances will air April 16 and 17.
Check out the names below, and you’ll find lots of familiar faces, and lots of contestants we haven’t even seen in Season 21.
For instance, former The Voice contestants Wé Ani (McDonald), Megan Danielle and Marybeth Byrd were featured prominently during Hollywood Week and turned in standout performances.
But we didn’t get to see the performances by Michael Williams, who had been featured during the audition episodes.
And, so far, we’ve gotten just a glimpse of Malik Heard on stage and not even that of Samuel Harness or Rebecca Bruner.
As always, following the link below will take you to a profile of each singer with information about music they’ve already released.
Nearly all of those former Voice contestants have released music since appearing on that show.
Following the link above will lead you to the spoiler site, where you can find out what many of the singers will perform during the showcase round.
Just be advised that you’ll also learn who advanced … so, if you like to be surprised …
