American Idol returns to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 19 for its Season 21 premiere.
Here’s more about Adin.
* He’s a 22-year-old classically trained musician in piano and voice and resides in southern California.
* He released an impressive debut EP, a five-track project called “Caseload,” in August. Check out the exceptional “Fall,” one of the songs from that EP, below.
* On his website, Adin describes the EP as “a series of songs he wrote to help him cope with the overwhelm of the world around him as an individual on the autism spectrum.”
* Adin’s already planning a second EP and has launched a Go Fund Me, hoping to raise $3,000 to help finance the project. At least two of his Season 21 colleagues have already pledged donations.
* He describes himself as a singer-songwriter, indie rocker and Chris Martin worshipper.
* His musical inspirations include Coldplay, The Killers, U2 and Keane.
* Adin’s a graduate of the Orange County School of the Arts Classical Voice Conservatory and, in a September Instagram post, he says he now teaches there part-time.
* He’s also a 2021 graduate of the California Institute of the Arts with a bachelor of arts degree in music performance and composition.
