Pjae is among the artists to announce he auditioned for Season 21 of American Idol.

American Idol returns to ABC for its Season 21 premiere on Feb. 19.

Here’s more about Pjae.

* His name is Peter Gomez and he’s from Oklahoma City, Okla.

* He describes himself as a soul, jazz and pop artists, adding on Twitter: “I make music not because I’m good at it, but because there’s nothing else I’d rather do.”

* Which is pretty modest considering the vocals he shows off on TikTok, where he has more than 500 followers.

* Pjae is a 2022 graduate of the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma.

* You’ll find snippets of originals from Pjae on TikTok and Instagram, but he doesn’t appear to have released music to streaming sites yet.

* “I write a lot but don’t share because I’m always nervous to show my true colors to people. But then I think … well I can’t be alone feeling like this?!”

* That might change soon. He’s working with the folks at the Song House on a song called “Be That Someone” and encouraging fans to support his effort to release it. You can check it out below.

* You’ll also find full-length versions of Pjae originals called “Leave the Light On” and “Keep Me Close” on his YouTube channel.

* Oh, and Pjae’s performed the national anthem at Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA) games at least twice.
