In two knockout round show, we’ve watch Rihanna give contestants on The Voice a wide range of very specific advice.

And during Tuesday’s show, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams complimented Rihanna, The Voice’s special knockout round adviser, on her coaching skills.

You know what? The Voice contestants would agree.

Just ask Blaine Mitchell, one of this week’s knockout round victors on Team Adam.

“You walk into the room that you’re going to do your performance in with Rihanna and Adam. At the same time, you’re like, ‘Hey, somebody needs to pinch me because I’m dreaming and I need to wake up.’ But they’re both so down to earth that it was like being in the room with a couple friends.”

Blaine wound up being pitted against Andi & Alex, the most successful contestants on the show through two rounds on iTunes.

But he said the feedback from Rihanna gave him a boost of confidence.

“She was like, ‘Hey, it’s like you just stepped off the Warped Tour,’ or like ‘You’re freaking weird and I love it,'” Blaine recalled during a Tuesday conference call with the media. “That’s surreal.”

Then there’s Jordan Smith, who turned in another incredible performance in the knockout round to earn a spot in the live playoffs for Team Adam.

The most special moment for him came when Rihanna sang a line to him, demonstrating how she’d like him to try to sing the same line.

“She sang and it hit me,” Jordan said. “I was like ‘Oh, my gosh, Rihanna is right here in front of me singing right now.’ And it was a voice that I’ve known for years, but to have it right there was so incredible and I just almost was moved to tears.

“And to have her standing there in front of me talking about my voice and giving me advice on how to do better and how to use my body language, and how to really let loose and just feel the music — but also to hear her compliments about my voice was incredible,” he said.

Speaking about Rihanna, Ivonne Acero of Team Blake said “I don’t even know how I didn’t pass out in front of her.”

The teen failed to turn a single chair in Season 8. She returned in Season 9 and is bound for the live playoffs after a knockout round win in the episode that aired Monday.

Along the way, she got helpful pointers and a confidence boost from Rihanna.

“I was so in awe of her presence,” Ivonne said. “And the fact that she was so technical and she was really putting me to work was so cool because a lot of the media today doesn’t really talk about how great some of these artists are. They’re just like, ‘Oh, she sings and she’s kind of cool.’ But they don’t’ talk about how really talented they are.”
