Angie Keilhauer from Season 10 of The Voice recently released a new EP called Wild. She has shows in Philadelphia, Baltimore and Harrisburg this month.

In a recent podcast interview with Dr. Linda Tucker, Angie Keilhauer admitted she was “a little bummed” to be eliminated in the knockout round on Season 10 of The Voice.

But then the gal from Marietta, Ga., says she gave herself a kick in the butt and started working on new music and working to finish half-written songs.

After all, she says appearing on the show was like playing a music festival for 12 million people.

The result: A seven-track EP called “Wild” that landed a couple of weeks ago.

And though it’s one of the first major releases from a Season 10 artist, it’s an EP that sounds anything but rushed.

Highlights include a wonderful ballad called “The Greatest Thing,” a rocker called “Born to Drive” and the autobiographical EP-closing “Am I Crazy.”

You can check out two of the three below.

And if you like what you hear, you’ll have chances to hear Angie perform the songs live over the rest of the month as she tours the East Coast.

In fact, she has shows planned in Philly (8:30 pm. Wednesday at Moonshine Philly) and Baltimore (9 p.m. Thursday at the Tin Roof) this week, followed by a show at the nearby Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 24. Tickets for the latter show are $10 and available here.

You can check out the rest of Angie’s tour dates on her Facebook page. And you can follow her on Twitter at @AngieKeilhauer.

For those who don’t remember her from The Voice, Angie is the young lady who grew up in El Salvador until unrest there prompted her father to move the family to the U.S. She later honed her performance skills singing on a cruise ship.

On the show, she landed a spot on Team Blake by singing “I Hold Up” by Dierks Bentley and advanced to the knockout round before being ousted following a matchup with eventual finalist Paxton Ingram.

Now, those promised samples of Angie’s music. Oh, and you can check out that podcast interview for free on iTunes.
