Season 13 Voice contestant Megan Rose has released her debut single.

It’s a country song called “Too Hard” about a young woman trapped in failing relationship, but who finds walking about from her lover quite difficult.

Megan told Voice Views she wrote the tune with singer/songwriter Libby Lavella.

“This song comes from the deepest depths of my heart and was written during a really conflicting and complicated time for me,” she said.

“This is the most personal thing I’ve ever released into the world as far as my music goes, which is a little scary — in a good way.

“But it’s 100 percent me, which has been number one on my priority list when it comes to releasing original music.”

That, she said, is also why she selected it as her first post-show release.

You might remember Megan as one of the last singers to snag a spot on Season 13 of The Voice. In fact, her decision to join Team Miley Cyrus gave Miley the first-ever all-female team on the show, making Megan part of hers-tory.

Megan went on to earn a steal from Blake Shelton in the battle round after a performance of “Good-Hearted Woman” with Ashland Craft, but was eliminated in the knockout round when pitted against eventual fourth-place finisher Red Marlow.

You can follow Megan through her Facebook page. On Twitter, she’s @meganrosemusic. Oh, and Megan, 20 when he auditioned for the show, says lots more music is coming.
