Eric Who earned a spot on Team Camila Cabello for Season 22 of The Voice during the blind audition episode that aired Tuesday.

But we only saw a tiny snippet of his performance of Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” and his discussion with the coaches.

So Voice Views reached out to Eric for more details about the blind audition we missed.

Here’s what Eric, 21, had to say about the experience.

Voice Views: How did you wind up auditioning for Season 22 of The Voice? Had you tried auditioning for the show previously?

Eric Who: I auditioned for the season Ariana Grande was a coach and unfortunately didn’t make it. After that, I really started focusing on displaying my comedic side on social media. Then I got to a point of really wanting to get back into singing and auditioned for Season 22.

Voice Views: Why did you chose to perform Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” for your blind audition?

Eric Who: The song is so simple vocally which gave me a lot of room to be creative with my version. What’s really interesting is no one heard my very alternative ending to the song.

Voice Views: How do you feel the audition went? And at what point did you get the chair turn Camila Cabello?

Eric Who: Camila turned around during the opening line of the song, which blew my mind. Her turning around so early in the song made the rest of the performance a walk in the park for me. She was my first choice for a coach.

Voice Views: Can you fill us in on the feedback you got from the coaches?

Eric Who: I recall Mister Blake saying Camila is perfect for me seeing as we both can’t keep still for too long. Miss Gwen said that my voice was crazy to her!

Voice Views: All in all, what was the audition process like and what stood out most to you?

Eric Who: What stood out most was hearing the crowd cheering while Camila vogued along with me from her chair.
