Emma Murdock is among the artists rumored to have earned a golden ticket on American Idol Season 22.

Idol returns to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 18 with the coaching trio of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan back intact.

Here’s more about Emma:

* She’s an 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Salk Lake City, Utah.

* She’s a graduate of Olympus High School and a freshman at Berklee College of Music.

* Emma has a strong background in musical theater and has already released her own music.

* As for the former, she was chosen by My Broadway Dreams for a New York City showcase where she performed Sara Bareilles “She Used to be Mine” in November.

* And last spring, she performed at the Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards after being nominated as best actress for her performance as Rusty in “Footloose.”

* Emma began releasing original music at age 15 with a song called “Insecure.”

* She’s since dropped three more songs, “Love is Christmas,” “Maple Tree” in 2022 and “Waiting Room” in July. Check out Emma’s unique vocals on the latter single below.

* Emma announced her Idol audition in late December on Instagram, complete with a series of photos from that audition.
