Recent post-Voice releases include new songs from Brynn Cartelli, Elenowen and Liam St. John.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.

* Brynn Cartelli, the Season 14 champ, recently released “If I Could,” the second song from her upcoming EP. And you might say it’s been well received, with more than 2 million streams on Spotify alone. She says it’s a song “that has taken on so many different meanings since the day Ben (Abraham) and I wrote it in LA, summer of 2019. Still, I will never forget the way my heart sank watching someone I love sell themselves short in a relationship. I felt like I couldn’t do anything about this hopelessness but write … & I’m so glad I did. I hope you carry this song and its message with you as you step in and out of relationships. I hope you only accept love that brings you freedom and utter joy.” That EP, “Based on a True Story,” comes out Friday.

* Elenowen, the husband-wife duo of Josh and Nicole Johnson, from Season 1 released “Nightmare Lover” on Friday. Explains Josh: “Wrote this with @sontalkmusic as a response to someone trying to run away from problems in a relationship, specifically by checking out and sleeping as much as possible to escape the anxiety and reality they’re faced with.” It follows let it all go as the second single this year from Elenowen.

Liam St. John from Season 19 released an original called “Ozark” earlier this month. “It’s about losing myself, and finding my breath when I least expected to,” he says on Facebook. Liam then followed up with a fan-requested cover of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” on Friday.
