Max Dasher of American Idol Season 22

Max Dasher is among the artists rumored to have earned a gold ticket during the American Idol Season 22 auditions.

Idol returns to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 18 with the coaching trio of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan back intact.

Here’s more about Max.

* Max is from Black Mountain, N.C., and apparently auditioned with his sister Laela, with whom he grew up performing music.

* They attended a summer residency in Dallas hosted by The Worship Intiative. As a result, a song Max wrote based on Psalm 84 appears on an album called “Psalms from the Well.” That album was released in November.

* While Laela is part of a Christian music group called LO Worship, Max also appears to perform folk and country music judging from the posts on his Instagram.

* Though he hasn’t released solo music, his posts there include a couple of originals, including the impressive “Broncos and Angels,” which you can check out below.

* He also writes music with Laela, and two of the originals they did together are featuring on Max’s Instagram. They sound fabulous harmonizing together. And the snippet of the song they posted on July 10 of last year sounds amazing.
