Kblocks is among the artists rumored to have earned a golden ticket on American Idol Season 22.

Idol returns to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 18 with the judging trio of Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie back intact.

Here’s more about Kblocks:

* She labels herself as a poet, singer, photographer and artist on Instagram and “free as a butterfly” on YouTube.

* In the intro to a 15-minutes concert video on YouTube, she says she was raised in Montgomery, Ala..

* She was born in Mississippi, into a military family that moved to Montgomery when she was about 4 years old.

* And Kblocks clearly feels destined to pursue an artistic path. Her father was a poet who passed away in 2007.

* During a visit to her mother’s house, she pulled one of his books of poetry off the shelf and found a note he had written to her inside. The books was titled “When Can I Get Naked?”

* “It’s a book of poems about stripping yourself of this exterior image in order freely walk into the world in your bare authentic self,” she writes. “A lot of times I question why my path and why it was assigned to me … but I think I’ve finally figured it out. We even write our Ks the same.”

* Kblocks has released a handful of singles to streaming sites since 2021, as well as a number of accompanying music videos.

* The most recent include “Insanity,” the fun pop-rocker “I Don’t Care” and “What I Want.” “What I Want” dropped on Jan. 31 and you can check out a snippet of the song below.
